Greetings,


Trusted CI is pleased to announce the Call for Participation for the second Trusted CI Research Cybersecurity Cohort engagement.


This six‑month, group engagement is designed to help research organizations address emerging research security–related cybersecurity requirements (e.g., NSPM-33). Throughout the engagement, cohort members will work closely with Trusted CI to:


  1. Assess their cybersecurity program using the Trusted CI Framework; and 

  2. Evaluate their implementation of basic cybersecurity controls relating to research cybersecurity. [1]


Participants will join six monthly workshops (three hours each) and spend no more than eight hours per month outside of workshop time on cohort activities. The next cohort will meet from July through December 2026.


Research organizations receiving $50M or more in federal research funding, including higher education institutions, NSF research facilities, and national laboratories, are highly encouraged to participate.
