Greetings,

 

We are excited to announce the call for applications for our Trusted CI 2026 Scholars. This program offers students an unparalleled opportunity to engage in cybersecurity education, applied learning, and professional development within the National Science Foundation (NSF) Cyberinfrastructure (CI) community.

 

Trusted CI—the NSF Cybersecurity Center of Excellence—brings together cybersecurity experts with decades of experience supporting science and engineering communities. The Trusted CI team has a proven track record of delivering usable, high-quality solutions tailored to the community needs, drawing on best operational practices and leading research in innovative methodologies and implementations.

 

Program Benefits

  • Participate in exclusive, online workshops, networking opportunities, and mentorship
  • Attend the 2026 NSF Cybersecurity Summit
  • Receive travel support covering transportation and accommodation expenses for attending the summit (detailed guidance will be provided upon acceptance)

Since its inception in 2014, Trusted CI’s student scholars have been an amazing success story with 132 alumni of the program. They continue to advance their careers in such areas as:

  • Artificial Intelligence Research.
  • Cyber Crime.
  • IT Security Engineering.
  • Higher Education. 
  • Military Service.

 

In 2026, a new cohort of scholars will receive training from—and work closely with—Trusted CI to expand their understanding of trustworthy science and help further secure NSF-supported research.
