| Trusted CI Hosts 2026 Regional Summit in Alabama |
| In collaboration with the University of Alabama, Trusted CI hosted its inaugural Regional Cybersecurity Summit in Tuscaloosa. Designed for the southeastern U.S. community, the event featured a two-day agenda (April 21st – 22nd) based on the Trusted CI Annual Summit. Day 1 of the program focused on hands-on learning, including a poster session and workshops covering Zeek monitoring, security log analysis, tabletop exercises, software security, and quantum machine learning. A Scholarship for Service panel was also a key highlight. Day 2 consisted of plenary sessions addressing research security requirements, AI’s impact on cybersecurity, and NIST compliance within HPC research. Trusted CI Presents at Cybersecurity and Privacy Professionals Conference |
| Trusted CI experts Will Drake and Hauke Bahr, alongside Carolyn Ellis from RRCoP and a collaborative team from six prominent universities—including Arizona State University, Indiana University, North Carolina State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, University of Michigan and University of Southern California—led a comprehensive, day-long session at the EDUCAUSE Cybersecurity and Privacy Professionals Conference (CPPC) in Anaheim. Their workshop, Aligning Culture: Turning Research Security into Institutional Practice, utilized expert panels and interactive exercises to provide attendees with the strategies and tools necessary for cultivating collaborative, campus-wide frameworks for research cybersecurity. |

| The 2026 NSF Cybersecurity Summit (Oct 27-29, Irvine) Call for Proposals is still open! The Trusted CI team welcomes proposals relevant to a broad range of topics related to the operational cybersecurity of NSF cyberinfrastructure and programs. Proposals that address topics impacting the NSF CI Community are highly encouraged. The deadline for plenary, workshop, training, BoF, and project meeting submissions is Tuesday, June 30th.
