Highlights from the 2024 NSF Research Infrastructure Workshop

Members of Trusted CI had an extraordinary experience at the 2024 NSF Research Infrastructure Workshop in Tucson, Arizona, March 26-29. The week was full of important presentations; impactful meetings with representatives from Major Facilities, Mid-Scales, and NSF; as well as a set of tours, including the Kitt Peak National Observatory, that left a lasting impression on the workshop attendees.

Trusted CI represented at CICI PI Meeting

While team members were attending RIW, Trusted CI’s Drew Paine traveled to Arizona State University in Tempe to attend the Cybersecurity Innovation for Cyberinfrastructure (CICI) PI meeting March 27-29. Drew chatted about SECURE with Sarah Stalker-Lehoux, who presented on NSF Research Security Policies: NSPM-33 and CHIPS+. Lightning round highlights included Hossein Sarrafzadeh’s talk on deploying student-run SOCs, and Brian Kocoloski’s presentation on SPHERE’s DISCERN project.

 

What are your topics of interest for the 2024 NSF Cybersecurity Summit?

The Summit Program Committee invites you to vote on the topics of greatest interest to you and your organization. The highest-rated topics will be featured in the Call for Participation for the 2024 NSF Cybersecurity Summit, to be held October 7-10 at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. This is your opportunity to shape the Summit program. Voting will close at midnight on May 19.

 

Undergrads and grads invited to join the 2024 Summit Student Program

Organizers are now accepting applications to the Student Program for the 2024 Summit. Selected applicants are invited to attend the Summit in person. Travel and hotel accommodations will be provided. The deadline for applications is midnight on June 28.

 

Webinar news

Trusted CI webinars are presented live on the 4th Monday of the month. The webinars are recorded and links to the slides and videos are posted on the Trusted CI website.
