Call for Mentors – Support Our 5 Student Participants

Good Afternoon Trusted CI Community,

I hope this message finds you all well!

We’re excited to share that five students will be participating in this year’s Student Cybersecurity Program, and we’re currently looking for five mentors from the Trusted CI community to help guide and support them throughout their journey.

What’s Involved:
We’re asking mentors to provide support and guidance in a flexible way that works for them—whether that’s through one-on-one chats, sharing career advice, reviewing project ideas, or providing insight into the cybersecurity field. We do require mentors to check in with their student at least twice a month, but how you mentor is up to you.

Program Timeline:
The program runs from May 8 through October 2025, with the most active mentoring period happening between when the program starts in May until October as students dive into workshops, projects, and professional development.

Why It Matters:
These students are new and eager to grow in cybersecurity. Your mentorship can offer the clarity, encouragement, and connection they need to thrive—not just in this program, but in their future careers.

Next Steps:
If you're interested in mentoring one of our five students, please respond to this email by deadline April 25th so we can start working towards matching you up with students as the program begins.
