Hello,
For the second year in a row we have scored a free spot at the Kenton Farmer's Market! Last year, this proved to be an excellent way to utilize summer produce as well as do some neighborhood outreach about our garden program. We will just be doing this the month of July and I am seeking out some parent volunteers who would be willing to help with running the stand. I will need volunteers July 6th (5:30-7), July 13th (4-7), and July 27th (3-7). The market runs from 2-7, but on many Wednesdays I have evening meetings and can't stay the whole 5 hours. I am hoping that with some volunteers we can still make this work. Feel free to bring your kids along too! And if the time commitment seems too long but you want to help from 3-5 instead of 3-7 on the 27th, for instance, let me know and we can work something out. Responsibilities include interacting with market attendees, basic explanation of garden program (we can chat about this), administering free samples, selling produce, taking down booth at the end and delivering materials back to Trillium.
Please email Nora as soon as possible with any questions or interest! Thank you!
