localtools map

Hey crew,

Does anybody have an active rapport with Gene and the MyTurn team? I feel like I've asked them to remove or update the LocalTools map so many times with no results. It's so out-of-date that at this point it hurts the tool library movement more than it helps.

Does anybody think they can help make some movement on this?

Funny timing Tessa. We were just talking about that at the steering committee meeting yesterday. We are hoping to get the data from them and make our own so that we can keep it up to date. I agree that is severely out of date.

Leanna, I forget, are you check with him on this? Id be happy to if no one else has already.

I just sent him a little email asking where they get the data and if there is somewhere you could email to get your info updated.

We've emailed them multiple times every year to add the Chicago Tool Library to no avail 🥴 I think it's time for them to take it down or recommit to updating it.

Hey all - I have always taken an interest I'm mapping out an active, updated map outside of the MyTurn umbrella. I'm actually currently working on it and am making good progress, and would be more than happy to offer it to the TLA and maintain it in real time!

If we can get that data from MyTurn it certainly helps, but I've found them hard to work with so I've just begun to do it on my own.
