On Tuesday in DC, Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois, Chair of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, in collaboration with our community, is convening a historic Congressional Hearing in DC highlighting anti-Palestinian and racial/faith hate. 


We invite you to this historic Congressional Hearing.

A Threat to Justice Everywhere: Stemming the Tide of Hate Crimes in America

Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at10:00 AM ET (arrive at least one hour early)

Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room G50, Washington DC

For the last 10 months, the Muslim Civic Coalition has been working with Senator Durbin's Judiciary, Senator Duckworth's Judiciary staff, the legislative staff of Congresswoman Delia Ramirez as well as other Congresspeople, and our partners and allies

*In partnership we introduced the Wadee Resolution, honoring the life of Wadee El Fayoumi.

*We requested a Congressional Hearing that highlights the cases of anti Palestinian, anti-Muslim hate across our nation.


Our Ask for You:
1. Pack the Room. There are limited seats in the room, and our team will reserve as many as possible. If you can join us in DC, respond to this form 
2. If you cannot join us in person, forward this email to partners and allies that can join.
3. If you cannot join us in person, watch the livestream at judiciary link
4. Contact Legislators. See list of Judiciary Committee members. Contact anyone you know on this list, and any Congressperson you know is a strong ally of our community - ask them to attend this hearing - and understand the issues.
