ASA,

Please consider joining to take part in shaping planning that may affect our seniors (and us too). The deadline is extended to Wednesday, July 31st.

The Maryland Department of Aging (MDOA) is seeking input and participation from a  diverse group of experts and community members representing a variety of ethnicities and lived experience to join our Longevity Ready Maryland (LRM) Stakeholder Advisory Work Groups.

Participants will have the opportunity to inform the state's multisector plan for aging to effectively address the challenges and maximize the benefits and opportunities of an aging society.

Currently, how long and how well Marylanders live depend heavily on their zip code, and other life circumstances. We need input from you to help bridge gaps to make Maryland a state where all Marylanders lead healthy, financially secure, socially connected, and purposeful lives.

Please consider applying to participate and share this opportunity with your networks. The stakeholder application is quick and simple. The work groups will take place this fall, all meetings will be held virtually, and there is no compensation provided. The deadline to apply is Friday, July 26th. Learn more and apply here.

Questions about the work groups can be directed to myself or Liz Woodward, MDOA Director of LRM & Special Initiatives at lize.w...@maryland.gov.

Thanks so much, Barbara
