Feedback Request - "Maintenance Community Framework"

Dear friends,

We hope everyone is healthy, in good spirits, and maintaining themselves as best they can! 

We are reaching out today to invite you, as part of the broader Maintainers network, to provide us feedback on the Maintenance Community Framework (MCF). The MCF is a document that lays out, defines, and describes how to form “maintenance communities,” groups focused on improving maintenance and the lives of Maintainers in a self-chosen problem area.

In the coming months, we intend to substantially increase engagement by forming an advisory committee, presenting new research opportunities, and launching other participatory projects to further expand the maintenance movement. Guaranteeing inclusivity, transparency, and accountability is an important piece of The Maintainers mission, and in order to do this, we rely on our community’s feedback and guidance. 

We would enormously appreciate it if you can please take some time to review the attached 16-page summary of the MCF and respond to a survey of 13 questions. You can find the survey link here, and it also includes the link to the MCF although you can also find it attached to this email. We will close the survey by February 16th, and follow up with a report back of your feedback later this Spring.

Thank you for guiding us through this critical phase of organizational growth. We look forward to community reactions and suggestions for ways that the Maintainers network can best support you and advance our shared goals.

Hello Info Maintainers!

Some of you may already know this from the Maintainers general listserv, so apologies for the repeated info but here it goes-

Thank you so much to all of those that have responded to our community feedback request thus far. We just wanted to remind everyone that we will stop collecting responses after April 1, so if you haven’t done so, please respond to the survey! You can find it here - it consists of a 16-page MCF document and a survey of 14 questions. This is the last nudge/reminder so please contribute if you are interested in participating in the feedback process.

It has also been brought to our attention that some community members would appreciate us recording participation in this feedback round. We have added an item to the survey which offers the possibility of submitting your email. If you already responded to the survey earlier than last Friday (March 12th), feel free to add your email here.  If you would like to remain anonymous, that is completely fine too, and you do not need to respond!
