Before getting to the details, the Hall of Fame Committee would like to thank Joe Wohlar for all of his work on the Hall of Fame process and events over the past decade. Joe has done the hard work to get the HoF started and running, and is now passing the program to the Committee with Alan Hoyle to serve as chair.
Please SAVE THE DATE for Sunday, October 12. This year the Hall of Fame induction awards will be a part of a larger Triangle Ultimate community celebration - view for more celebration details! We look forward to sharing this event with you! There will be a full day of camaraderie and celebration, as we change things up to focus on celebrating our amazing community.
The first step for selecting our next Hall of Fame Class is to solicit new nominations for individuals or teams.
The nomination criteria for individuals are people that have made significant contributions to the history and growth of Ultimate in the Triangle, either as players, organizers, coaches, or a combination of these roles.
The nomination criteria for teams are specific team seasons that have won championships, made historic progress, were memorable for some reason, or made significant contributions to the local ultimate culture. The team nomination would be for a specific season of a Triangle-area team.
With the leadership transition, a new event approach, and process updates, we are getting started later so all nominations need to be submitted by August 15. Please use the link below to make your nominations.Once nominations are complete, the committee will be contacting the nominees with a more detailed application process for their consideration. No previous nomination lists will be carried over from the past years.
