Greetings to all!
We want to share a few updates with you regarding the 2023 TCPAAA Convention and Law Enforcement Training.
Please note that the 2023 Registration Form has been revised – the PO Box was incorrect so please use the form attached, or on the TCPAAA website .
Room Reservations and Hotel Info:
- Hilton College Station Hotel & Conference Center.

If you check out on July 12 Wednesday, you will not have a room to change clothes or sleep in after the Awards Dinner on Wednesday night.
Planning:
Open Ceremonies Guest Speaker - Zechariah Cartledge and his dad founder of "Running4Heroes”
High Profile Sessions – to include
- Sheriff Kirk and Judge Kenny Elliott (and probably Texas Ranger Josh Ray) that they will present the Virginia Freeman Case
- Brazos County DA Jarvis Parsons and the Brazos County DA will team present the Gabriel Hall Case
- "Survivors Panel" with 3 different surviving family members who have experienced personal losses: a mother who lost her son to an impaired driving crash; a widow of a Houston Police Officer who perished in an HPD Helicopter Crash and (pending confirmation) a mother who lost her 3-year-old to a Distracted Driving incident. This session will be led by a local media television news anchor; questions will be prepared in advance with time allowed for a few questions from the attendees.
There’s a lot more our hosts are working on, so show your support and mail in your registration now.

Attention everyone who has made a room reservation or plans to do so.
WARNING:
when making your hotel room reservation online, please notice the preset dates
July 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.
The date of the Convention is July 9, 10, 11, 12 check out of the hotel on the 13th. This is a four-day conference. The hotel just gave us an extra day of anyone wants to use it.
If you made a room reservation for Saturday July 8 and do not want to come in a day early please contact reservations to correct your room reservation. Remember the convention does not start until July 9, Sunday.

The 31st Annual TCPAAA Convention & Law Enforcement Training

I was in College Station last weekend for a workshop with our hosts for the upcoming convention, they are eager and excited to have everyone attend the event.
Please mail in your registration and make your room reservations soon, this helps the host plan and prepare for the convention.

Please note on every form: “No more than five (5) pages of documentation (letters, photos, etc.) may accompany this form”. This means the cover sheet + 5 additional pages, If you submit more than 5 pages, your nomination is disqualified. Don’t wait, get those nominations in the mail!
***SPECIAL NOTE***: We will accept submittals via email by the DUE DATE, but you are required to send by US mail postmarked within 5 business days of the due date. If not received your submittal will not be considered.

We do not allow photo’s of our guest speakers without their consent, and we do not allow photo’s or videos of the class presentations, our event is not for social media. - If you have not yet registered for the Convention, you can still attend but please do NOT mail your form and payment this late. You need to email Mary Jo Prince mjopr...@gmail.com to let her know you are attending so your registration bag, name badge, meal tickets etc., can be prepared prior to your arrival. - Hilton Hotel Room Reservation - https://tinyurl.com/tcpaaa2023 $96 a night The hotel extended the deadline to July 6th. Attached is a diagram of the Hotel, please note the Hotel is doing some renovations and the Lobby at the front entrance is closed. Please follow the signs to the West side of the hotel. There will be luggage carts, and a few hotel staff to assist as well. Hotel Check-In is just inside those doors. If you have the Hilton Hotel App on your phone you can do Express Hotel Check-In as well. Parking is on the North side of the hotel as well as another entrance into the hotel
- ATTENTION LAW ENFORCEMENT – We invite you to wear your uniform at Opening Ceremonies on Monday July 10th, please. We would appreciate this opportunity to honor each of you on what we call “The Wall of Honor”. Some of you have participated in this at previous Conventions, for those that have not Deputy Steve Squire will line you up in the outside hallway you will enter the ballroom and stand around the walls of the room at Opening Ceremonies for a short presentation. This is our way to show you our support. Even if you decide not to bring your uniform please know we still invite you to be on that wall, please. Thank you.
- Alternate Delegate Form - This form is used if your sworn rep (law enforcement) is unable to attend the convention Delegates meeting, please read the details on the TCPAAA website http://texascpaaa.org/meetings.html . Have the form signed by the sworn officer bring it with you to the convention.
- The Texas CPAAA would like to tell everyone if you have a Challenge Coin you should bring it with you and stop by the TCPAAA Exhibit Hall Table, we think you will be interested to see why!
- The Official 2023 Convention T-Shirts are available for pre-Convention purchase on the C.C. Creations On-Line Store link here: https://cpaaaconventionshirts.itemorder.com/shop/home/ Simply click on the link, select your favorite color shirt (or one of each-Blue or Light Grey) and follow the instructions to check out! Both Women’s and Men’s styles are available. Depending on when you order your shirt(s), you have the option of having the shirt(s) mailed to you for a shipping & handling fee OR you can pick up your shirt(s) at Convention Check-In at no extra charge. Two colors are available in both Women’s & Men’s Styles! ADDITIONAL UPDATES ARE ATTACHED.
