The April 2022 Region One newsletter was published to the Region One website on 4/1/2022.  This is a 13 page edition.

In this edition you will find:
  • April Meeting announcement
  • Agenda for April 9 Region meeting (may not be final)
  • Dues address change reminder
  • Listing of 2022 board and 2022 meeting hosts.
  • Chapter 2 of The Adventures of Calvin (the traveling trophy)
  • Photos from the March meeting
  • Info and notices page update:
    • List of paid 2022 memberships in the Region as of Mar. 31.
  • Personal notes from me.
  • Convention Registration Form (minus the map of Regions; better to use 2 page official form from website)
  • Preliminary Convention schedule (half size to fit on single page; use the web version for full page)
  • 4 pages listing 93 Texas honorees on the 2022 Roll Call of Heroes. (see *** below or page 13 for info)
Direct link for the newsletter:

*** The last 4 pages are in landscape (horizontal) orientation, and all pdf viewers I tested will automatically rotate for viewing, but if you want to print, just make sure the "Auto rotate" is ticked or checked so they will be printed to fit the paper orientation which is vertical from the preceding pages.
National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service
The National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service, which is sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police and its Auxiliary, will be held on Sunday, May 15, to honor those officers listed on the 2022 Roll Call of Heroes.

These last 4 pages of the newsletter contain the 93 names from Texas that appear on the Roll Call of Heroes, sorted by Department, the last column.

The entire list of 563 can be found at https://irp.cdn-website.com/ac5c0731/files/uploaded/FINAL%20List%20May%202022%20Roll%20Call%20-%20By%20Last%20Name.pdf

This list reflects the officers who will be honored at the National Peace Officers Memorial Service on May 15th by the Fraternal Order of Police and Auxiliary. Historical officers to be honored at the Candlelight Vigil only are not listed.

See the TexasCPAAA.org (state) website for the following which are not in the Region newsletter:
  • Call for nominations for state offices that are up for election this year
  • 2022 Awards Nomination Packet. This was also in the Fall 2021 state newsletter.  Better to download it from the website.
See the Region One newsletters web page for additional links to recent newsletters:
Sometimes a forced reload of the pages is needed if your browser has the habit of caching and does not automatically refresh when the page has been updated.
This edition is on the newsletter archive page also: http://texascpaaa.org/Region1/r1newsletters.html -- the archive contains Region One newsletters back to April 2005.

If there is anyone in Region One that is interested in taking over this newsletter, please contact me.  Regio...@TexasCPAAA.org

If someone forwarded this email to you and you wish to be on direct distribution, it is easiest to simply send an email with a subject of "Subscribe to Region list" to me at Regio...@texascpaaa.org or LWa...@texascpaaa.net with 4 items: your name, your CPAAA or agency name, your email address, and which list you wish to be added to (state, region one, or both).  I will add you if the address you wish to add agrees with the sending address of your requesting email.  If it does not agree, I will send an invitation instead; invitations require action by the subscriber to activate.
(Self unsubscribing can be done in as few as two or three clicks in less than a half minute;  instructions are in the footer appended to each email including this one. This process is easy and has been tested.  No human will see the unsubscribe email, so don't put anything in it... a blank email to the special address is all that is needed.)
