With release of latest BodyPix, is there still a use case for PoseNet?

I'm building an app in the Sports analysis field and looking at both BodyPix for body part segmentation and also PoseNet for pose estimation.

The latest version of BodyPix includes pose estimation. For those people developers like me looking for both a pose estimation and body segmentation solution, is there any need to work with PoseNet now?? I'd much prefer working with one model as BodyPix for both post estimation and body segmentation.

If you are getting the results you need from bodypix then you should be fine to continue using that.

There may be a slight improvement using PoseNet directly for pose estimation only but I will need to check on that with the team if that is still true or not.
