Tone Transfer not working on desktop, says "rotate your phone"

After clicking "Let's play", I get the message, " Rotate your phone

For the best experience on this website, rotate your phone to the portrait (vertical) mode." 

And it's otherwise unresponsive. It had been working two years ago on this laptop without issue.

(Tested in Chrome and Microsoft Edge, Windows 10, Lenovo Y520 laptop. Someone did tell me that it was working for them in Firefox on desktop.)

Strange, sorry you're having that issue. It definitely has been tested on many laptops and browsers, so there must be something special going on in your case in terms of the way it's detecting the display, as it thinks you're on a mobile device. @Edwin Toh @Justin Secor any guesses as to what could be going on?
