Hello everyone! Recently, it was made possibly to install Tensorflow natively onto Windows (I'm a MLcoding newb and I used this video). I've been wanting to download Magenta, but noticed the instillation instructions were initially written for Mac OS X or Ubuntu. Should I try Docker or is there a different  way to install this to Windows?
Thanks in advance!

Docker is the best bet. I even tried to install on the Ubuntu subsystem on Windows but I had insurmountable issues

That video look interesting. I will also give it a try. Found this site that may also help http://www.howtogeek.com/197947/how-to-install-python-on-windows/

Wow that was a really easy installation:

pip install tensorflow

migrating to the rocksetta-examples folder

python hello42.py

Only negative that I am finding is that many of my examples are for python 2.7 and this setup is for the newer version of python.

Dear Jeremy,

Thanks for the description. This is the way I did it:

1- Install Anaconda
2- Create a virtual environment for tensorflow:
conda create -n tensorflow python=3.5.2 anaconda
3- Activate / switch to this new virtual environment
activate tensorflow
4- Install tensorflow with pip
pip install tensorflow

This gives you the ability to switch back and forth for any other library which has different dependencies, e.g. python 2.7.

However, I could not build magenta -- bazel requires Python 2.7 as well and its installation is highly confusing! Maybe others can help?

Can somebody create an installation packege for Windows users? All this technical hustle and problems - that is not for a common user.
