Generate Music From Human Heart Beat Intervals

Hi guys,

I have been working on a project to convert human heart beat intervals (RR intervals) to music. So far the numbers look great for pitch values - eg I can convert the RR intervals to pitch values and itself demonstrate certain rhythmic patterns. I was wondering if anyone has ideas on how to assign different duration eg 1/4,1/8.1/2 to different pitches and add in chords to make them real music? I am completely an newbie to music.

Looking from music and psychoacoustics perspective it is more interesting to do bass drum based on heart beat. You can choose musical key and then create algorithm to select chord from  this musical key according to some data you get from heart beats and it will sounds ok. You can use one of  pretrained Magenta tools and find a way how to transform your data to input parameters.

Sidenote:

I'm planning on playing dark side of the moon right before the eclipse in VT in April 2024... maybe we could have the crowds (usually 5 to 10 people for my big shows ;) )  monitor their heartbeats through phones and beam it up to the speakers to hear a representation of the crowds collective heart beats for the heartbeat part fade out at the end when eclipse hits totallity...   good luck!
