October- CADRE Update

Hi, from Kirkwood!

I would say one of our big successes was having a whole school inservice day where we were able to be trained by a character strong trainer.  It was actually the end of September, but I feel it helped give everyone the vision of the what, how and why of the Character Strong curriculum.  

One of the struggles we are having is the fidelity piece.  I feel like this is not uncommon from other school sites, but we continue to work on it.  

We have also asked all teachers to add Tier 1- Four at the door and one more to their morning routine and have implemented this pretty well across all grade levels.  

Last Friday, we discussed in our staff meeting what more of the Tier 2- strategies look like.
