Hi,

While running my application , I get this below error but still my desktop application work fine. Can anyone please tell me why I am getting this error on my console?

407 [Isolated Process Thread] INFO com.jniwrapper.win32.ie.IsolatedProcess - Executing command: "C:\Users\CYNTHI~1.TUS\AppData\Local\Temp\JExplorer32.2.7.2.exe" "C:\Users\CYNTHI~1.TUS\AppData\Local\Temp\JExplorer32.2.7.2.dll" {F0A667CD-C99F-4D24-827A-15916201A9A4}
insert entity.

Even though this is just a Information and not any error, Jexplorer crashes everytime I try to open a htmlpage in it. I have a similar application which does not give the "Isolation information" and jexplorer works fine there. Can anyone please suggest a solution ?

Thanks and Regards,
Cynthia Tuscano

Hello Cynthia,

From the log message I see that you use JExplorer 2.7. Please note that this version doesn't support Windows environment with MS Internet Explorer 8, 10, 11 released after April–May 2014. You can read more about this at https://groups.google.com/a/teamdev.com/d/msg/jexplorer-forum/RB0NzhA0bS8/w7JdNVdIzKsJ

I recommend that you use the latest JExplorer version that doesn't have this limitation.

Sincerely,
Vladimir Ikryanov

Does 3.3.2 support edit html page functionality?
Was trying the DOMUtils.setDesignMode(browser.getDocument(), true); However DOMUtils doesn't seem to have the setDesignMode() method. Can anyone please suggest a solution ?

This functionality isn't available in JExplorer 3 API, but it will be implemented in next update next week.

Hi,

The reason of this crash is that you use MS Internet Explorer 11 with JExplorer 2.7. They are not compatible. Please use JExplorer 3. In recent release we added the missing functionality: https://www.teamdev.com/jexplorer

Hi,

Using jexplorer3.3.4 now. Made code changes to migrate from 2.7  to 3.3.4 using https://sites.google.com/a/teamdev.com/jexplorer-support/home/migration
However not able to find any alternative for the following,

1) HTMLElement elementFromPoint = DOMUtils.getElementFromPoint(browser.getDocument(),Point); (Need the HtmlElement from the htmlpage based on the point. Point is the co-ordinates of the mouse click position.)

2) browser.setToolTipText(elementFromPoint.getNodeName()); (It seems browser doesnt support teh setToolTipText() method.)

3) Browser.invokeAndWaitLoadMainFrame(browser, new Runnable() {
@Override
public void run() {
browser.navigate(htmlFile);
}
});
Used this in place of browser.waitReady();
However instead of "new Runnable", it is showing error stating it needs a callback function. Any workaround for this one ?
Thanks,
Cynthia

Hi Cynthia,

1. Unfortunately, this functionality is not implemented in the current version of JExplorer. We will send you updated version (that includes it) on next week.

2. Actually, Browser class never had setToolTipText method. This method was accessible in JExplorer 2.x because Browser was inherited from JComponent class. In the JExplorer 3.x Browser inherited from Canvas class. But i would like to say, that in the JExplorer 2.x it will not work too, because JExplorer hosts heavyweight component (WebBrowser), so all tooltips will be displayed under it.

3. Please use code:

Browser.invokeAndWaitLoadMainFrame(browser, new Callback<Browser>() {
  @Override
  public void call(Browser value) {
      browser.navigate(htmlFile);
  }
});

Thank you.

Hi Cynthia,

As we promised, we prepared build with functionality that allows to find DOM element from point. You can download it from our ftp: ftp://ftp.teamdev.com/updates/jexplorer-3.5-eap1.zip

To get element by point you should use getElementAtPoint method of DOMDocument interface. For example:

DOMElement element = browser.getDocument().getElementAtPoint(new Point(10,20));

Thank you.
