It seems like the native library won't load...am I mistaken, or we need an update to handle running on the M1 processor since its Arm based and not intel based?

Tested on an intel Mac, no issues, M1 mac, and I got the:

com.jniwrapper.cf: Could not find JNIWrapper native library (libjniwrap.jnilib) in java.library.path.........

Hello Ben,
Thank you for contacting!

JNIWrapper was not tested for compatibility with Apple M1 yet and does not support it officially.
The latest version of JNIWrapper was released in 2016, and Apple M1 was presented in 2020, so the compatibility issues can appear with this version.

Please let us know if there're any further questions we can answer for you.

Sincerely,
Nataliya Rybynok

Yes, understood...but could you consider one more build just to have an Arm compiled library so the M1 can be supported?

I understand if not considering the project is closed down now.

Thanks,
Ben

Hello Ben,

Unfortunately, it's not possible as currently, no improvements are done in JNIWrapper.

By the way, as we can see from our database, you are holding a JxFileWatcher license. JNIWrapper is used in the library just for the correct functioning of JxFileWatcher.

Anyway, both libraries are available as they are now.

Best regards,
Nataliya
