Hi,
I've come across two summer PD opportunities that may be of interest. Please act soon if interested.
1) Professor Eric Mazur of Harvard University's Dept. of Physics has organized an NSF-funded Summer 2020 Physics Education Virtual Workshop that will bring together a group of secondary/high school physics educators, administrators and methodology experts to discuss the state of high school physics teaching, explore ways to improve and address how to build capacity. Participants will become part of a new network and may be invited to attend an eventual in-person workshop at Harvard (expenses covered by NSF). Applications are due by APRIL 30th: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe06b3labkrk7-HvB3mdY2aLl-hmceDVe-dCetz6b7Turx5eA/viewform
2) The Knowles Academy (based in Moorestown, NJ) has announced its Summer 2020 math and science Teacher Professional Development Courses. These "state-of-the-art courses ... are designed for teachers by teachers." Limited funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis to offset course registration fees, reducing the cost to $100 (use promotional code KNOWLES100 during registration).
