Hi Education Team,
I had a lovely invite to the Dancing Oaks Nursery Pollinator Festival on June 20th from 11am-4pm.
I now have a conflict and can not attend, but was wondering if any of our Education Action Team members would like to attend. More information about the festival, as well as the Facebook Event link. I am happy to brainstorm an activity if any of you are interested!
Festival Date: Saturday, June 20
Event Hours: 10am - 4pm
Food & Drink Vendor Hours: 11am - 4pm
While our gardens have expanded since you were last here, the general layout would remain the same as in previous years.
As before, the festival will include local food & music, educational activities for kids and grown-ups, and featured pollinator-friendly plants for sale during the day. We have invited area non-profit and gov't educational organizations to the event as a way to educate our visitors about the importance of pollinators and what they can do in their own gardens to support pollinators. It's an informal event without scheduled presentations. We will have family-friendly crafts and games going on throughout the day, staffed by our own volunteers.
