EAT members:  Happy Summer.  I wanted to send out some pictures of the completed Plastic Cap mural which has been "planted" in the Adams Elementary School Garden.  4th grade teacher and Green Team Leader Connie Ash and I worked to complete the mural over the last month (mostly crewing the glued caps down) and got it mounted on the east side of the Adams garden late last month.  In all, over 3500 caps were kept out of the landfill, and a beautiful piece of artwork was created.  In the fall, members of the Green Team will add beautiful handmade beads to the mural as their "mark" and I'll also work with the new Green Team leader to have a school dedication.  If you are interested in making a mural with your school, I'd be happy to share information with you or help you design it!  I'm sure Connie will tell you that it was much more work than we initially thought it would be, but that's always the case, right?  It was worth it and the kids loved working on it.  More news after tomorrow's Sustainability Coalition Team Leaders Zoom meeting!  Enjoy your summer!
