Subject: We need Planet Palooza volunteers!!

Hi Education Action Team members.  We have committed to participate in this year's Planet Palooza, a traditional Corvallis Earth Day event.  It will be on Saturday, April 16 from 12:15 pm to 3 pm   We have had an activity table several times in the past and it's a lot of fun.  Kids participate in the Procession of the Species (parade) and then take part in activities hosted by local environmental groups next to the Skate Park at the south end of 2nd street.  We've had them make "bird feeders" by spreading peanut butter on pine cones, write how they can help the environment on Sticky notes and put it on a poster with all the elementary schools listed,  and color images of the earth (believe it or not, that was a big hit!). I can help with activities but will be in Hood River that day for a family event.

We need 2-3 people to staff the booth.   Michel Wiman (LPMS) has already expressed interest, but can't be there the entire time (is that correct, Michel?).

Are there people who can help with this activity?  Please let me know ASAP.

Thanks!!

Also, Jessica Worden, our rep from the Corvallis Environmental Center, is going to be moving to Washington State, and will no longer be part of our team.  Thank you for all your information and help Jessica!  Best of luck in Washington!
