Formal Announcement of results and explanation of modalities involved in claiming the prize

Dear All,

Greetings from IIT Madras!!

First of all, let us convey our heartfelt gratitude for participating in the Cricket and Coding challenge over the last two months. We have now analyzed the submission and prepared the final results. Overall we had 232 participants actively participating in the competition in both the formats.

We are setting up a small session from 19:30 hrs today to formally announce the results to everyone. You will be able to join this session using this link. The prize winners will be receiving a separate email after this session about the modalities involved in claiming the prize. Please do join us for the session.

It was a formal announcement about the winners.

1) The leaderboard that you see is the final list of winners. 

2) Google form will be sent to the winner's email address, where the participant has to fill up their details providing bank address, proof of that account belonging to you etc.

3) Leaderboard of the day winners will get a t-shirt.

 Having said that, I haven't yet received the google form email either. They did record the meet, I'm sure they will put it up here eventually.

Dear IIT Madras BS Team,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding the non-receipt of a prize that I won in an online contest conducted by your esteemed institution more than 90 days ago. As an enthusiastic participant and an admirer of the reputation that IIT Madras holds, it pains me to share the ordeal that myself and many others are currently facing.

From 15 April to 21 May 2023, I participated

in cricket connect as guessing category which was organized by IIT Madras BS. To my delight, I was informed that I had won a prize, specifically a T-shirt, for my performance in the leaderboard contest which was second position.

However, it is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that even after more than 90 days since the conclusion of the contest, I am yet to receive the promised T-shirt. What compounds my frustration is not just the delay, but the utter lack of communication and response from the institution's end despite multiple attempts to seek clarification. What's the point for asking us to fill gforms for our address for T-shirt.

I understand that logistical challenges and unforeseen circumstances can arise, leading to delays in prize distribution. However, the complete absence of any communication regarding the delay and the status of the prizes is deeply disappointing. It is disheartening to witness a top-tier institution like IIT Madras, which is renowned for its academic excellence and professionalism, not meeting the basic expectation of promptly addressing the concerns of its participants.

Furthermore, I have come across numerous other individuals who, like me, are still waiting for their contest prizes. The fact that a significant number of winners are facing this issue points to a systemic problem in the administration and execution of such events. This situation is not only affecting the credibility of the contest but also tarnishing the reputation of IIT Madras as a whole.

I kindly request that you take immediate action to rectify this situation. At the very least, participants who have won prizes should be provided with regular updates on the status of their prizes and a tentative timeline for their delivery. A lack of communication only exacerbates our frustration and reinforces the perception that the institution is not taking this matter seriously. 

 I sincerely hope that this email will prompt the institution to take the necessary steps to rectify the situation and restore the faith of participants like myself. Also I have attached some screenshots for your convenience
