GLPO Reminder for Science Project Reflection

Hi Class of 2017,

Some of you have asked about the GLPO's for your Science Fair Reflection. As a reminder, I have included some of the Global Performance Outcomes that we were targeting with this project:

 

GP  Science Standards:

 

Investigate the World:

SCI11-12.INV4

Designs an experiment that offers a detailed method for investigating and testing the hypothesis/research thesis using appropriate technology.

Recognize Perspectives:

SCI11-12.PERS2

Identifies and interprets experimental error, outliers, and/or inconsistencies in the data, if present, and conclusion evaluates the hypothesis or research thesis based on evidence from the data.

SCI11-12.PERS3

Poses and discusses new, relevant questions in response to implications of experimental or research findings.

Communicate Ideas:

SCI11-12.COMM1

Describes experimental error and/or research procedures in sufficient detail to be replicated and accurately test the experimental design.

SCI11-12.COMM2

Presents data with visual representations that enhance understanding of the issue and findings for diverse audiences; experimental or research presentation applies conventions of scientific communication to express ideas and learning.

Articulates in a reflection how the project influenced his/her thinking, choices, actions, and awareness of alternative thoughts and ideas.
