Intervenants: Franck Aggeri (Mines Paris–PSL), Franck Cochoy (Université de Toulouse), Hans Kjellberg (Stockholm School of Economics), José Ossandon (Copenhagen Business School), Koray Caliskan (The New School), Kristin Asdal (University of Oslo), Liz
McFall (The University of Edinburgh), Martin Giraudeau (Sciences Po Paris), Pascale Trompette (Université Grenoble Alpes), Philip Roscoe (University of St Andrews), Sophie Dubuisson-Quellier (Sciences Po Paris), Susi Geiger (University College Dublin).

Workshop “Michel Callon: Thinking Forward in Market Studies” - Tuesday, September 15, 2026, 9:00 - 17:30
Michel Callon’s work has played a significant role in the emergence and growth of the field of market studies over the past twenty years. The study of markets that he initiated in the early 2000s has served as a point of reference and a source of inspiration
for a wide range of researchers interested in market phenomena across the disciplines of sociology, economics, history, philosophy, marketing, organization and management science. The ideas he formulated have been adopted within these disciplines, applied
in various fields, and subjected to commentary and criticism as well, in connection with alternative perspectives for the analysis of market dynamics. In this workshop organized as a tribute one year after Michel Callon’s passing, we wish to highlight the
importance of his contributions and also to stimulate reflection for the future. Invited speakers will engage with the insights, concepts, proposals, and analyses put forward by Michel Callon, in order to renew our perspective on the field of market studies
and, more broadly, to reflect on the socio-political implications of market research in the contemporary era.
