Dear All,

I hope you're keeping well. Mykola Makhortykh and I, from the Institute of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Bern are organising a workshop on campus titled "Bridging the gap: How can digital media and technology scholars contribute to the policy process? " on 19 November 2025 between 9 AM to 4PM. The objective of the workshop is to help young scholars (PhDs and Post-Docs particularly interested in digital media, data, communication, technology and AI) figure out how can they make their respective research relevant to those in-charge of technology policies - both in terms of content and communication. A great set of policy practitioners (from Swiss Offices and International Organisations) will join this workshop in-person and this is a unique opportunity for you to listen to them and personally discuss your work with them (in groups or one-on-one). Participation is free but registration are limited.

For all up-to-date information on the workshop, read here: https://sites.google.com/view/vihangjumle/updates

For registration or questions: Please email (vihang...@unibe.ch) with a couple of lines on your current research interests.

Best,
Vihang Jumle
