I would like to notice you of an interesting opportunity consisting in the contribution to a kick-off Special Issue of Forces in Mechanics (ELSEVIER) entitled:“Mechanics and Physics of Advanced Manufacturing & Material Processing” - Guest Editors: Enrico Salvati, Filippo Berto, Francesco De Bona
The Special Issue will be focused on the following aspects of this theme:
o Microstructural characterisation (microstructure, texture, porosity, defects, deformation mechanisms)
o Mechanical performance (fatigue, fracture, creep, impact)
o Surface modification and degradation (fretting, peening, coating, corrosion, hydrogen embrittlement)
o Residual stress (evaluation, effects on structural properties, distortion)
o Multi-physics modelling
o Optimisation of processes
Newly launched, Forces in Mechanics (FINMEC) aims to become an international platform for the publication of high-quality original research in all branches of Solid Mechanics, including those at the interfaces of materials science, engineering, manufacturing, physics, biology, and chemistry. The editorial board consists of experts representing diverse areas of solid mechanics.
Authors whose papers are accepted for publication in this special issue will not be charged any open access fee.
Forces of Mechanics will waive the APC (Article Publishing Charge).
Please let know to the Guest Editor - Filippo Berto (
filipp...@ntnu.no) if you would be able to contribute to this special issue by 20th October.
More information on the submission procedure will be provided shortly after this date. Feel free to contact the guest editors for further details.
