Google has released a couple of updates for new Google Sites that should help during the current COVID-19 situation.
This allows you to add a banner to the very top of your site to make an announcement and draw attention to new information on the site. You can see an example of this on any page of our site, steegle.com, and we have full instructions on how to add the banner at
Site Templates
Google has made some common templates that gives you a good head start on making new sites, so you can quickly create new sites in this time where you need to publish information quickly. If you have templates rolled out to your account then just visit https://sites.google.com/new
Rollout Timetable
Google is pushing out Announcement banners to G Suite rapid and scheduled release from 22 April 2020 and it can take up to 15 days and Templates for rapid release from 14 April 2020 and scheduled release from 28 April 2020 and both will take upto 15 days.
