Consider putting the license of your applications
(i.e. whether they're open source) on your web site;
see request below.

Subject: Licenses of BOINC project applications

Dear David,

first of all, thanks for all your work on BOINC! It is an amazing project.

I was wondering if it were possible to indicate under which license the
different BOINC projects and their applications run (e.g. in this
overview [1])? I personally do not want to run proprietary software on
my computing devices and am convinced that science should be as open and
transparent as possible. An indication of the licensing status of the
projects on a BOINC overview page would also force the projects to be
more clear on their licensing status - currently it is very difficult to
tell from the various projects' websites.

I apologize in advance if you are not the correct person to reach out
to. In that case, please redirect my request/suggestion to the
appropriate contact.

Kind regards,
Alex
