BOINC 8.2.6 fails to detect WSL on Windows 10 and 11 for me. Reverting back to 8.2.4 fixed the problem.

Could you please try to use this installer to update your 'boinc-buda-runner' image from version 2 to version 3, and afterwards check with the BOINC client 8.2.6 if this issue still exists?

Yes, that installer fixed the issues and I'm running BOINC Central tasks on Windows 10 and 11 now.

Since testing 8.2.6, I cannot complete docker tasks successfully on all my Windows 10/11. 

I used the amazing buda installer tool mentioned. It seemed to do a great job at checking my systems and updating where necessary. I was even alerted that I neglected to turn on bios virtualization on a machine by a report that it wanted me to submit to github..

After using that installer, BOINC detects WSLproperly:

On two hosts (one Win11, the other Win10) I reverted back to 8.2.4 but now get the same task errors.

I have another 8.2.4 host, that I didn't upgrade and run the new buda installer tool on, and is still reporting validated tasks but with awesome stderr output (likely due to my convoluted and old docker install):

Runtime limits are being exceeded.

This looks like an issue with runtime estimates for Boolean Chains jobs,

rather than with the BOINC client.

There does seem to be a problem with BOINC Central tasks at the moment, and I just had perfectly bad timing trying to test the new client.

All else seems to work great with BOINC 8.2.6
