Somewhere between BOINC and Quake Catcher, the ability to leave the project seems to have been forgotten?  Tips appreciated!  I contacted QC but nothing happened after the first interchange:

Yes, I want to remove myself from the project, and there is no web support for that.

Hi David,

Can you provide me a bit more information about what you want? Do you still want to engage with QCN, or no? It's fine if you want to drop it, as we're moving to focus on K-12 education and informal education at museums, libraries, etc.,

Thanks,
Danielle

Dr. Danielle Sumy,

As I have no sensors on my 4 computers, I suspect I signed up in error, but I cannot find a link or choice to remove my computers.

Best,

If the project ended, BOINC/BAM needs to provide a way out.

Why couldn’t you remove all references to Quake Catcher in the client_state.xml file, and remove the Quake Catcher directory (below BOINC-DATA\Projects)?  what

- A bit of a pain on 4 PCs.
- What about BAM?

In the alternative, in the BOINC Mgr display, click on the Projects tab, then select the Quake Catcher Project, then click on Remove on the LHS.

- It is grayed out.

Also you could  download and install, BoincTasks, select the Projects tab, select Quake Catcher, right-click the project, select Add/remove in the resulting popup menu, and then click detach.

- Seems a bit redundant to boinc manager.
- "Download BoincTasks for Windows the latest release version." contradicts "BoincTasks [All languages **] For: XP ***, Vista ****, W7, W8, W10, W11 Linux*, Mac*"
- What about for Linux?
- On all 4 PCs?
- What about BAM?

Lastly, it can also be done in BoincCmd: If BOINC is on your path or the current directory is the BOINC program folder, type boinccmd –help.  The instructions will be in the middle of the resulting page.

- Seems a bit redundant to boinc manager.
- On all 4 PCs?
- What about BAM?

PS: QuakeCatcher keeps coming back, perhaps copied from ./.var/app/edu.berkeley.BOINC/client_state_prev.xml for some reason.

PPS: But now remove is not grayed out, so 1 host down.  Lots of references to Quake, quake, and qcn to remove in an xml friendly fashion!
