I downloaded the apk version to my Samsung Tab A on 29 June, and it's been running fine ever since.
But yesterday, the tablet notified me that a software update was available. Key features appear to have been:
One UI version 3.1
Android version 11
- full screenshot of software version details attached for named recipients.
I set 'no new tasks' to finish off work in progress, and updated the machine when idle - around 4 PM.
When the update was complete, I tried to launch BOINC. I got the splash screen, and then the Manager - for just long enough to allow new tasks again. Then it disappeared.
I repeated the process several times, checking network connectivity etc. - all seemed normal, except BOINC Manager kept disappearing from the screen. It was also impossible to connect to the client remotely. I also tried a manual restart of the whole device.
This morning, I saw that my regular remote client connection was functioning. I managed to retrieve this client log:

and it's been running ever since. The tablet was connected to a charger, and to the internet via WiFi, throughout - so the 'suspending' computation and network messages are false.
WCG logs show 4 tasks downloaded at 16:53 yesterday, and returned from 14:15 today:

These tasks (MCM1) normally run for about 8 hours on this device, so the new ones are slow (although there is some variation between batches). I have no explanation for the 9 hour delay in restarting: although this country claims to be suffering 'extreme heat' weather conditions, the temperature in my cellar overnight has not been wildly different from the whole of the last week.
I had nothing further worthwhile to try, so I left the room and moved on to other matters. The restart at 03:29:44 happened when I was asleep in bed, so I have no observations to add. No timers are set around that time in this house. The network router is showing an uptime of 13 Days, 13 Hours 03 Minutes
Thunderstorms are forecast, but didn't arrive last night. No sign of distress or unexpected rebooting from other machines on the same network and power supply.
Tablet is currently online and working, and has been continuously all day. I don't know if Android issued a silent patch last night?
