Connection to sql server not getting established

Hi Ramesh Sir,

i have installed SQLTest in my laptop and there is default instance of sql server and named instance of sql server in my laptop.
i have changed the connection string to point my named instance but the connected is failing with the below error message.
So as work around i have disabled the firewall checked the browser service and the network protocols. and they are fine.
it is not able to connect even to default instance on my laptop.

Could you please help me on this.

Error Message.
Workload: 1, Connection: 1, Thread: 0: SQL Exception: Number: -1, Level: 20, State: 0, Line: 0, Message: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)
Exception in Check Connection String
Test Connection Failed, error code: 263735.

Hello Madhu

Are you able to connect with SQLTest to the default instance?
Are you able to connect to the named instance from SQL Server Management Studio?

Normally this should work fine, can you paste your connection string masking out server name, user name, password etc.
