If Google Meets Grid View made you happy,  you may be interested in these other two cool extensions:

Update April 27, 2020: Grid View is now available in Meet without an extension

• The Nod extension - allows you to give thumbs up, raise your hand, clap, and a few other actions.

• The attendance extension will create a spreadsheet of all who attended your Meet.  Simply click the extension icon a few times during the meet to capture all participants who’ve arrived by that time.
