Saturday, July 16th 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Amateur Radio License Testing – Ham Cram. Here is a way to encourage your friends who have been thinking about becoming a Ham. Cupertino July 4 Fireworks - open to non-Cupertino operators | |||

The Cupertino July 4 fireworks show is back, and we need radio operators to assist with monitoring activity at three viewing venues and several street closures, and to provide situation status to the command post. This is a fairly low-key event, ideal for both experienced and first-time volunteers.
Operators from other cities are welcome. We will not have a county activation number; instead, all such operators will be sworn in at the event and work as a Cupertino DSWs for the day.
This will be a credential-qualifying event. Also, we can offer a limited number of F3 and N3 credential evaluations.

This is a two-day event. This entry is for Saturday, July 9. If you want to sign up for Sunday, go here. Limited evaluations are available both days.
Hams are needed to support the Arts & Wine Festival in Los Altos. There will be two shifts available, an AM shift and a PM shift. Hams will provide additional eyes and ears for both the police department and the event organizer.
With help from the County, we are able to offer evaluations for F3 and N3 only. Sorry, Shadow evaulations will not be available. If you want to do an evaluation be sure to read the notes at the end of this description.
The AM shift will run from 9:00 to 1:30 PM. The PM shift will run from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
