Training Net – Voice Message Passing Practice

This is the monthly Message Passing Training Net held on the third Tuesday of each month.

The training net will be be held on the Resource Net Repeaters (AA6BT 146.115, N6NAC 444.625, and W6ASH 440.800) which will be linked for the net.

 

There are both Sender and Receiver positions available + infinite Listener positions.

ARES/RACES Communications Drill - COUNTY

San Jose 2022 Q2 Communications Drill- Virtual

This signup is for the 2022 Q2 San Jose Quartly communication drill held in conjunction with other Santa Clara county and city drills.

 This will be a virtual event -- operators are expected to participate with their own stations at home, setup mobile stations in a publicly available space, or utilize an HT in a place of their own choosing.

FEMA 800: National Response Framework, An Introduction
Date: Wednesday 05/25/22	Start: 6:30 PM	End: 10:00 PM	Location: 255 Barack Obama Bvd, San Jose SJFD Training Center

This class is the equivalent of taking the FEMA IS-800 (National Response Framework Intro) class online, except it will be taught live and in-person by a CSTI outreach instructor for the ICS and EOC suite. The instructional portion of the class will end at 21:30.

To become certified, you have two testing options:

1. Frannie can administer the test and issue the certificate from CSTI. You will be given 30 minutes (21:30-22:00) to complete the test in the classroom. CSTI certificates cost $15.00 each, plus tax.
2. Take the test at the FEMA website online after the training. After the class ends at 21:30, you can decide when to take the test on your own time. The FEMA certificates are free and dowloadable from their website.
