Floor Hockey Helmets-Safety Checks

Special Olympics Ontario requests, that Floor Hockey Coaches check every helmet that is being used in Floor Hockey programs; to ensure that they are CSA approved. Non CSA approved helmets, are not be used in any setting (practice or competition).  CSA certified products, have a certification mark on them. Please note, “Masquerader” helmets, often referred to as “Street Hockey Helmets”  are NOT CSA approved and are not be used.

We would like to take this opportunity, to remind Coaches; that safety checks should be conducted on all equipment, at regular intervals.   Please check your helmets at your next practice.
