Hello,

Thank you for using the UCSC Genome Browser and for reporting your issue.

During our last software update, a bug snuck out which caused the behavior you described. We have fixed the issue, and you should now be able to change and save the order of the tracks.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I hope this is helpful. If you have any further questions, please reply to gen...@soe.ucsc.edu. All messages sent to that address are archived on a publicly-accessible Google Groups forum. If your question includes sensitive data, you may send it instead to genom...@soe.ucsc.edu.

Hi,

We noticed that for a couple of days now anytime we change the order of tracks, the order resets as soon as the view changes by either refreshing, zooming or sliding the view window.

Please see screenshots from before and after below for more details.

Moving track up

Moving the view slightly, makes the track bounce down to the original position.

Saving the session, unfortunately does not help either.

Is there a way to preserve the order, like it used to do?

Thank you,
Katharina
