Hi,

I want to get a liftover from NCBI Build 36 (UCSC hg18) to hg19, but your tool doesn't go back to hg18. Is there any way that you can help? I just need one liftover of the coordinates (chr22: 17,299,742 - 19,835,558).

Many thanks,
Tracy

Hello, Tracy.

Thank you for your interest in the UCSC Genome Browser and for sending your inquiry.

The LiftOver tool does support conversion from hg18 to hg19. You can run LiftOver by following these steps:
- Go to the LiftOver page: https://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgLiftOver
- Under “Change original genome,” enter “hg18” and select "Human (hg18)"
- Under “Change new assembly,” use the dropdown menu to select "hg19"
- Enter chr22:17,299,742-19,835,558 in the input box and click Submit

In the Results section, you should see: “Successfully converted 1 record,” along with options to view or download the conversions.

I hope this is helpful. If you have any further questions, please reply to gen...@soe.ucsc.edu. All messages sent to that address are archived on a publicly-accessible Google Groups forum. If your question includes sensitive data, you may send it instead to genom...@soe.ucsc.edu.
