Dear UCSC Genome Browser Team,
I hope this email finds you well.
I am writing to report a technical issue I encountered while using the UCSC Genome Browser website. Recently, when I tried to add a Hi-C data track by providing a URL (e.g., http://.../example.hic) to the "Add Custom Track" tool, the submission failed.
Problem Description:
I pasted the valid URL of a .hic file into the "Paste URLs or data" text box on the "Add Custom Track" page.
After clicking the "submit" button, the browser page turns completely blank (white screen). No error message, confirmation, or new track appears in my session.
Refreshing the page does not restore the session or show the track. I have tried this multiple times with different .hic URLs, but the issue persists.
Questions:
Is this a known issue with the current system?
Could you please advise on how to resolve this? Is there an alternative method to load Hi-C data via URL at this time?
Thank you very much for your time and assistance. The Genome Browser is an invaluable tool for my research, and I appreciate your support.
Best regards,
Xiaofang Ma
