Hi genome browser team,

I'm trying to upload a trackhub with RNA-seq data onto the genome browser (hg38) but I'm running into the error: Missing required 'bigDataUrl' setting in the trackDb.txt file. I'm able to upload my data as custom tracks so there doesn't seem to be an issue with the accessibility of the data, and I haven't been able to catch any typos in my file. Do you have any tips on how I could solve this issue?

Thanks,
Judith

Dear Judith,

Thank you for contacting us with this issue and sharing your information directly. It appears the problem is with some whitespace encoding on the track lines in your data. You will want to check each "track trackName" line and ensures that there are no encoded whitespaces.

Thank you again for your inquiry and using the UCSC Genome Browser. If you have any further public questions, please reply to gen...@soe.ucsc.edu. All messages sent to that address are archived on a publicly-accessible forum. If your question includes sensitive data, you may send it instead to genom...@soe.ucsc.edu.

All the best,
