In the March 2006 assembly, there are some BACs that appear to be
much larger than expected. For example, AC025983.3 (RP11-687M15)
spans greater than 500 kb on the chromosome 19 browser view, but
according to NCBI it is 173 kb in 35 unordered pieces. Several other
BACs in the same region also span regions much larger than the
average BAC insert size. There are no annotated segmental
duplications in this region, so I can't imagine why these BACs would
be assembled to cover such a large space. Any reason for this?

Good Morning Katie:

We have an error in this BAC track. Some of them as you have
discovered cover too much distance. We hope to fix this in the
near future.
