Hi

I am looking at the GWAS catalog data in the golden path for hg19.
I realized there are more entries in the GWAS catalog from UCSC when compared with the source data downloaded from NCBI gwascatalog (around 2000 more). Why is this so and when is the last update of gwas catalog at UCSC.

Thanks
Swee-Seong

Hello Swee-Seong,

Thank you for your question about the GWAS catalog track at UCSC. The
GWAS catalog track is updated weekly through an automatic process. This
process checks the file http://www.genome.gov/admin/gwascatalog.txt for
any updates, and then incorporates these changes into our track. Could
you provide us with some specific numbers that show this difference of
roughly 2000 entries between our track and the GWAS catalog website?
This would help us to answer your question.

I hope this is helpful. If you have any further questions, please reply
to gen...@soe.ucsc.edu. All messages sent to that address are archived
on a publicly-accessible Google Groups forum. If your question includes
sensitive data, you may send it instead to genom...@soe.ucsc.edu.
