Hello,

I have been having trouble with this for a while now. I am trying to download my data using my hub and it didn’t work. I followed up with you guys and changed the error (longlabel speclling incoreect in hub.txt file). Once I corrected it, I am trying to check in hu development. Looks like it tries to load, shown in the first photo

Then gives this error below:

My colleague was able to get his track up using this same methodology but mine isn’t working. Can someone please suggest what and where should I look to troubleshoot this error?

Regards,

Tanzila Zaman

Hello Zaman,

Thank you for your interest in the Genome Browser.

It looks like the place where your hub is located is not accessible to the Genome Browser (http://trackhubs.its.unc.edu/barc/postar/mm10/trackDb.txt). It is possible the domain is limited to access from within the UNC network.

You could try contacting your network administrators, or alternatively we provide some hosting options that have worked for our users in the past (https://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/hgTrackHubHelp.html#Hosting).

Would a clearer help message be more helpful in this circumstance? We are always trying to improve the Genome Browser, and would appreciate any feedback you can offer.

I hope this is helpful. Please include gen...@soe.ucsc.edu in any replies to ensure visibility by the team. All messages sent to that address are archived on our public forum. If your question includes sensitive information, you may send it instead to genom...@soe.ucsc.edu.
