Hello Everyone,
We are happy to announce an update to the VISTA Enhancers tracks for human (GRCh38/hg38 and GRCh37/hg19) and mouse (GRCm39/mm39 and GRCm38/mm10) genome assemblies. The track shows potential enhancers whose activity was experimentally validated in transgenic mice. With this update, the tracks now include over 1,900 new entries for the human assemblies and over 2,500 new entries for the mouse assemblies. Hovering over an enhancer annotation now displays the tissues in which the element is active. Most of these noncoding elements were selected for testing based on their extreme conservation in other vertebrates or epigenomic evidence (ChIP-Seq) of putative enhancer marks. More information on this track can be found on the track description page.
We would like to thank the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the VISTA Enhancer team for providing this data. We would also like to thank Max Haeussler and Gerardo Perez for their efforts on this release.
