[cmps201] no winter 201

To clarify, the department chair decided not to offer cmps201 in the winter,
sticking to the original plan.
I thought I had already announced this. Sorry about the last-minute
message.
As far as I know the next cmps 201 will be next fall.
The current class size is 41. Students should be able to get plenty
of personal help with coursework, at this class size.
For first-year students that do not feel well-enough prepared at this point,
taking 201 in your second year is well within a normal schedule, but
please consult with your FACULTY adviser, and come up with a concrete
plan to get ready for next year.

I will be at school later Tuesday PM in case students want to talk.
I think the drop deadline is Oct 12, and of course you will want to
add something to replace 201 if you drop it. An indepndent study with
your adviser is one option.
