Hi,

I want to color the tracks in two colors (positive values in red and negative values in blue). I tried the following wig file but still shows all lines in red as an attached figure.

track type=wiggle_0 name=track_label_1 description=center_label color=200,0,0 altColor=0,0,200
variableStep chrom=chr19
988500 0.8096605
5387000 0.7946190
6939500 0.8786292
7005000 0.8151519
7484500 -0.8352634
8387000 0.8512445
8388000 -0.8512445
8389000 -0.8512445

Is there a way to specify the colors separately?

Thank you

Hi Chathura,

Thank you for your question about negative values and the altColor field of wiggle custom tracks. You are correct in that the altColor field should color the negative values, however there was a bug in the wiggle display causing this to not work correctly. The bug fix will make it to the public site in a couple weeks, however in the meantime you can modify your altColor to not have zeros in the individual RGB values like so:

track type=wiggle_0 name=track_label_1 description=center_label color=200,0,0 altColor=1,1,200
variableStep chrom=chr19

and your custom track will display positive values in red and negative values in blue.

Thanks again for finding this bug, and please let us know if you have any further questions!
