Hello, Minou,

You can navigate to the camFam genome of intrerest and use the Table Browser
to get the chromInfo table.  In the "group" pulldown, choose "All Tables" to access
those data.

You can also find that table in the downloads section of the site.

best wishes,

Hi Minou,

Thank you for your question about obtaining information on the chromosome sizes for the dog assembly canFam1.

You can find a "chrom.sizes" file containing the sizes of all chromosomes in a particular assembly on our downloads server, http://hgdownload.soe.ucsc.edu/downloads.html, under the "Full Data Set" set link for that assembly. For example, you can find all the different dog assemblies, including canFam1, here: http://hgdownload.soe.ucsc.edu/downloads.html#dog.

In addition, you can also find information on chromosome sizes from the assembly description page, https://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgGateway?db=canFam1, using the "view sequences" link. The following page will show you the largest 1000 or less chromosomes, and incldues a direct link to the "chrom.sizes" file I mentioned previously.

I hope this is helpful. If you have any further questions, please reply to gen...@soe.ucsc.edu. All messages sent to that address are archived on a publicly-accessible Google Groups forum. If your question includes sensitive data, you may send it instead to genom...@soe.ucsc.edu.
